If you are learning in Scotland, when you gain academic or vocational qualifications you will earn SCQF credit points that may be able to go towards other learning you may need to do in your life.
It may also be possible to transfer the SCQF credit points that you get for a programme of learning outside Scotland to another related programme of learning.
For example, if you have a qualification from a college or university in Europe you will be able to check with the SQA or a university to find out if it can contribute to a programme of study in Scotland. And any credits you gain in Scotland could potentially be used toward further study in other countries using the European Qualifications Framework.
