Consultants appointed for Review of SCQF Handbook

In line with agreement at the SCQF Quality Committee on 27 February 2008 an open tender to conduct a Review of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Handbook was posted on the websites of SCQF, ASC and Universities Scotland. At the same meeting a subgroup of the SCQF Quality Committee was established to advise on the Review of the Handbook and their first task was to consider the submitted tenders, short-list and subsequently meet with the consultants who submitted tenders, the deadline for which was 28 April 2008.

Four tenders were received and as the standards were of a high quality all were invited to meet with the sub-group and present their approach to the work. The unanimous decision of the panel was that 3D Consultancy be appointed for a number of reasons:

  1. They had a clear understanding of and involvement in a wide range of sectors, including higher, further and vocational education, work with employers, community learning and development and voluntary sectors.
  2. They demonstrated a deeper understanding of the nature of the task to be undertaken.
  3. They demonstrated a balanced consultative approach to working with the SCQF Executive Team, Partners and stakeholders.

For this assignment 3D Consultancy will work in association with: Jay's Consultancy; Training Enterprise and Development; and Training and Development Services.
