Expanding Horizons with the SCQF

The SCQF Quality Committee hosted a seminar for credit rating bodies in Edinburgh on 11 March 2008.

The aims of the event were to:

  • share experiences;
  • get ideas on the use of the SCQF;
  • provide a platform for developing collaboration to
  • conduct credit rating activity and inform SCQF of the support that it should offer.

Fiona Hyslop delivered the keynote speech in which she reiterated Scottish Government's support for the SCQF, describing it as the "learning spine" of the Skills Strategy. The presentations from existing credit rating bodies focussed on the "how" and the "why" of credit rating.
